MBUX – Mercedes-Benz User Experience premiers at CES Las Vegas
Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the intuitive and intelligent multimedia system MBUX - Mercedes-Benz User Experience at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas (CES; 9 - 12 January).
The name MBUX for the new infotainment system signals that the user experience (UX) is at the forefront. An exclusive feature of this system is its ability to learn thanks to artificial intelligence. MBUX can be personalised to suit the user.
This is intended to create an ‘emotional connection between the vehicle, driver and passengers’. Simultaneously, updates “over the air” are possible, heralding a new era at Mercedes me Connectivity.
Its further assets include the high-resolution Widescreen Cockpit with touchscreen operation, navigation display with augmented reality technology plus intelligent voice control with natural speech recognition, which is activated by the keywords “Hey Mercedes”.
MBUX is used in the entire new compact car generation from Mercedes-Benz and will enter series production in spring 2018 in the new A-Class.
Its focal point is the comprehensive touch operation concept, combining a touchscreen, touchpad on the centre console and Touch-Control Buttons in the steering wheel. In addition to the intuitive operating experience, less driver distraction is another advantage.
We don’t know about you, but we are looking forward to seeing MBUX in the Mercedes A Class this year and the rest of its compact car generation over time – if you would like to speak with us about leasing a Mercedes-Benz model call one of the MercedesCarLease team on 0330 1111 168 or browse our website at your leisure!
